Pricing & dāna

I offer my work with deep respect for the tradition of dāna—an ancient Pāli word meaning generosity or heartfelt giving.
In the early days of the Buddha, the teachings were considered priceless and offered freely. In turn, the lay community supported the monks and nuns with gifts of food, shelter and care. This mutual generosity, one offering time and presence, the other offering support—created a shared field of practice rooted in gratitude and interdependence.
I continue to honour this spirit of dāna in parts of my work.
Some community offerings, in-person teachings, and retreat days may be offered on a dāna basis, allowing your contribution to arise from appreciation rather than obligation. There is no fixed amount. Give what you feel moved to offer, based on your means and the value you’ve received. In-kind gifts are also welcome.
At the same time, to sustain this work and care for my family, some offerings have a set fee or sliding scale. This helps me to continue offering dāna-based teachings while honouring the time, energy, and depth I bring to each session.
